Following a potential collision with another aircraft, a Japan Airlines aircraft was on fire on the runway of Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Tuesday, according to a report from the national broadcaster NHK.
According to the NHK report, every one of the 379 passengers and staff members had managed to exit the burning airplane.
The aircraft has been identified as Flight 516, which originated at Hokkaido’s New Chitose Airport and arrived in the nation’s capital, according to the Japanese flag carrier.
According to the airlines, after landing at Haneda airport, the aircraft collided with what looks to be a Japan Coast Guard aircraft, according to the NHK report.
At the moment, firefighters are attempting to put out the fire.
According to CNN, social media images showed the passenger jet moving before catching fire in a massive ball of flames.
Then, as firefighters attempt to put out the fire, the aircraft is seen coming to a stop with its emergency slides open and people fleeing.
