A wireless transparent TV with an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen that seems to disappear when turned off has been unveiled by LG Electronics.
According to LG Electronics, the LG Signature OLED T eliminates the need for visible wires surrounding the screen and enables viewers to see beyond the screen by combining transparent OLED technology with wireless AV transmission and reception.
According to Yonhap news agency, it highlighted the TV’s self-lit pixel technology, which maintains flawless picture quality with an incredibly small fit.
According to LG Electronics, the TV’s transparent screen and wireless technology let users move it freely within their living areas, including in front of living room windows and between the kitchen and living room.
LG Signature OLED T offers two distinctive screen modes — transparent and black.
When in translucent mode, viewers can experience content that overlays on the wall or window behind their TV, displaying scenes or artwork.
A single click on the remote control turns the screen black for people who value better resolution quality.
With the LG Electronics webOS smart TV operating system and an upgraded AI processor, the Alpha 11, the LG Signature OLED T offers four times the performance of its predecessors.
By evaluating video in pixel-perfect detail and applying color correction to match the creator’s goal with rich spatial sound, the Alpha 11 processor improves picture quality.
LG Electronics said the LG Signature OLED T will hit the global market later this year.
