Vidhu is scheduled to attend the Macau premiere of “12th Fail,” which is based on the best-selling book by Anurag Pathak and tells the true story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma.
The film explores the arduous challenges faced by millions of students completing the UPSC entrance exam, using inspiration from true stories.
In addition to discussing exam preparation, the film delves into the difficulties faced by each candidate, examining the myriad personal issues that prospective students deal with at home and in their interpersonal connections while studying for exams.
The students experience severe emotional distress as a result, and they almost always give up or experience severe depression.
Ultimately a story of resilience, perseverance, and never giving up, ‘12th Fail’ stars Vikrant in the lead role, alongside Medha Shankar, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee in pivotal roles.
In November 2023, the movie was also submitted to the Oscars as an independent nomination.
