Several places in Odisha were covered with thick, dense blankets on Thursday morning even as the mercury dropped a few degrees Celsius. Visibility was limited to 50 to 200 meters in certain areas of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, and Koraput districts due to dense fog.
Additionally, dense fog was seen in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, interfering with daily activities. Public transportation vehicles were few in the early hours of the day, which caused issues for commuters who had to travel early in the morning.
Driving was difficult, and several drivers were observed navigating the roads in the morning with their headlights on. Drivers are advised to use caution, particularly in places where accidents are likely to occur.
Meanwhile, the regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that some places in Odisha may experience light rain/showers on Thursday.
