There are just two days left till the day of the Ram Lalla idol’s “pran pratishtha,” or consecration, at the Ram shrine in Ayodhya. The formal proceedings leading up to the consecration ceremony, which is scheduled for January 22, started on Tuesday.
By Sunday, the rites will be finished (January 21). The inaugural ceremony of the temple is anticipated to feature speeches by RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
At 12:20 p.m., the idol of Lord Ram will be consecrated. Approximately 8,000 visitors have been invited, with 1,500–1,600 “eminent” guests expected to attend the occasion.
Timings of the live telecast
The live screening of the inauguration of the Rs 1,200-crore Ram temple will be held between 11 am and 1 pm on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also urged people across the country to light a ‘Shree Ram Jyoti’ in their houses on the day.
