A total of 5,60,000 students will appear for the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations (matric examination) in 3,047 centers in the state from Tuesday. The examination will continue till March 4.
MIL will be the first paper on Tuesday. Students are recommended by the board to arrive at the testing location one and a half hours prior to the scheduled exam time. The students report to the test hall at 7.30 am, with the exams starting at 9:00 am. At 8.15 am, the examination center’s gate close.
AI-based CCTV cameras have been installed at susceptible centers for the first time. To improve and reform the conduct of the examination, the examination centers will be under CCTV surveillance.
A command control room will be under the watch of 20 experts and the board authorities.
Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, vice-president of the board, said that if malpractice or some untoward situation arises in any examination center, the command will come through the AI cameras.
