Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices closed in positive territory on April 10. The BSE Sensex rose more than 354 points, or 0.47%, to end at 75,038.15, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 111 points, or 0.49%, to close at 22,753.80. Nifty Bank closed at 48,986.60, up 256 points, or 0.53%.
The NSE Nifty 50 closed 0.41% higher at 22,735.05, while the BSE Sensex closed 0.42% higher at 74,993.88.
Coal India, BPCL, Kotak Bank, ITC, and Hindalco were the top gainers in the Nifty 50, while HDFC Life Insurance, Cipla, Maruti Suzuki, Divi’s Lab, and Shriram Finance were the major losers in the Nifty 50 on April 10.
The NSE Nifty 50 opens up by 0.34% at 22,720.25, while the BSE Sensex gains 0.36% to 74,953.96 in the opening trade.
Shares in the Asia-Pacific region are trading in mixed territory on Wednesday morning. The Asia Dow is trading up by 0.89%, where as the Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading in red, down by 0.54%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is ended higher by 0.57% and the benchmark Chinese index Shanghai Composite is ended up by 0.05%.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), gauging the dollar’s worth against a basket of six global currencies, saw a marginal uptick of 0.02%, reaching 104.11 in trading.
According to Bloomberg, Wall Street traders made their last-minute predictions ahead of Wednesday’s crucial inflation report, leading to a decline in stocks while bonds saw a rebound following a recent downturn. The Nasdaq Composite, dominated by tech stocks, closed up 52.68 points or 0.32% at 16,306.64. The S&P 500 rose by 7.53 points or 0.14% to 5,209.91, whereas the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended slightly lower, down 9.13 points or 0.02% at 38,883.67.
