In several locations around Odisha today, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain along with thundershowers.
There’s a chance of thunderstorms with lightning in a few locations in Sambalpur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sundargarh. In its meteorological advisory, IMD has issued a “Yellow Warning” for following districts.
The twin cities’ highest and lowest temperatures have been forecast by the IMD regional center, with Bhubaneswar expecting a high of 32.0°C and a low of 26.0°C.
Similarly, Cuttack has lowest and maximum temperatures of 25.0°C and 32.0°C, respectively.
On July 7, there’s a chance of a low-pressure area forming in the Bay of Bengal, which could bring intense rains to parts of southern Odisha and the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh. IMD said.
It is anticipated that Odisha will see less than 50–60 mm of rain during the upcoming week, with intermittent showers lasting until July 17. Nonetheless, it is anticipated that the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, and Deogarh may receive more than 80 mm of rain.
On the State’s north coast, 50 to 60 mm of rain are predicted between July 10 and July 17. According to the Meteorological Department, additional areas could have rainfall of between 70 and 80 mm.
