According to the India Meteorological Department’s mid-day report, the state will continue to receive light to moderate rainfall with thundershowers during the next seven days.
According to the IMD forecast, rainfall in the state is expected to continue for the next three days as low pressure forms over the Bay of Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, and Bangladesh.
Today, the weather office reported mild to moderate rainfall in various coastal areas as well as a few places in inland Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 35.0°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi, while the lowest minimum temperature of 23.0°C was recorded in Phulbani and Nabarangpur.

Day 1 – 01.08.2024: Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh, and Jagatsinghpur.
Day 2 -02.08.2024: Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, and heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Kalahandi.
Day 3- 03.08.2024: Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, and Deogarh.
Day 4 – 04.08.2024: Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Interior Odisha and at a few places over the rest of the districts of Odisha.
Day 5 – 05.08.2024: Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.
Day 6 – 06.08.2024: Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Nayagarh, Puri, and at a few places over the rest of the districts of Odisha.
