On Sunday, the depression over Westcentral and the neighboring Northwest Bay of Bengal crossed the shore around Kalingapatnam, which lies between north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha.
The depression was located in north Coastal Andhra Pradesh, around 70 kilometers west of Kalingapatnam, 80 kilometers northeast of Visakhapatnam, and 170 kilometers southwest of Gopalpur (Odisha).
It has been moving northwest at a speed of 10 km/h for the previous six hours and is likely to continue in this path for the next 24 hours, hitting north Andhra Pradesh as well as south Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
Residents in impacted areas are encouraged to take measures and stay up to date on weather forecasts.
