Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices closed the trading session on a positive note on September 02. The BSE Sensex finished the day up 164 points, or 0.20%, at 82,530. The NSE Nifty 50 index closed 37.40 points, or 0.15% higher, at 25,273.30. The Bank Nifty completed the day at 51,422, up 0.14% or 71 points. The Nifty Midcap 100 ended 127.50 points, or 0.22% higher, at 59,159.15.

The NSE Nifty 50 closed 0.15% higher at 25,273.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 0.20% higher at 82,530.07.
Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finserv, HCLTech, Hero MotoCorp, and SBI Life Insurance were the top gainers in the Nifty 50. Hindalco, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Tata Motors, NTPC, and ONGC were the major losers in the Nifty 50 on September 02.
The top gainers on the NSE were Bajaj Finserv, up by 3.99%, followed by HCL Tech at 3.04%, Bajaj Finance with a 2.73% increase, Hero Motocorp up by 2.12%, and Bajaj Auto rising by 1.57%.
On the losing side, Hindalco led with a decline of 2.07%, followed by Tata Motors down by 1.92%, Dr. Reddy’s falling by 1.73%, M&M decreasing by 1.38%, and Eicher Motors slipping by 1.30%.
The Nifty 50 was up 0.21% at 25,289 while the Sensex was up 0.26% at 82,584.
The NSE Nifty 50 opened 0.24% higher at 25,297.15, while the BSE Sensex opened 0.23% higher at 82,557.20.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which tracks the dollar against a basket of six major currencies, edged up by 0.02% to 101.75.
WTI crude prices are down by 2.98%, trading at $73.65, while Brent crude prices have fallen by 2.26%, trading at $77.04, on Monday morning.
Shares in the Asia-Pacific region are showing mixed performance on Monday morning. The Asia Dow is up by 0.93%, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 is also trading in the green, up by 0.44%. However, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index has declined by 1.24%, and China’s benchmark Shanghai Composite is down by 0.31%.
Global stocks climbed higher in volatile trading on Friday, marking the fourth consecutive month of gains despite a period of significant selling pressure earlier in August, according to a report by Reuters. The positive momentum was driven by robust U.S. economic data, which also helped the dollar recover from a prolonged losing streak. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite closed up by 197.19 points, or 1.13%, at 17,713.62. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 gained 56.44 points, or 1.01%, to close at 5,648.40, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 228.03 points, or 0.55%, finishing at 41,563.08.
