Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices closed the trading session on a muted note on September 03. The BSE Sensex lost 4.40 points, or 0.01%, to end the day at 82,555. The NSE Nifty 50 closed up 0.00% at 25,279.85. The Bank Nifty closed at 51,689, up 0.49% or 250 points on the day. The Nifty Midcap 100 ended 145.20 points, or 0.25% higher, at 59,297.85.

The NSE Nifty 50 closed 0.04% lower at 25,268.90, while the BSE Sensex closed 0.05% lower at 82,521.66.
SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance, ICICI Bank, Shriram Finance, and Bajaj Finserv were the top gainers in the Nifty 50. Meanwhile, ONGC, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, JSW Steel, and Eicher Motors were the major laggards in the Nifty 50 on September 03.
The sectoral-index consumer durables outperformed the benchmark index and other sectoral indices on September 03.

On September 3, 2024, the BSE saw 2,013 stocks advance, outpacing the 1,772 stocks that declined, while 123 stocks remained unchanged. Out of the 3,908 stocks traded, 230 reached a 52-week high, and 24 hit a 52-week low. Additionally, 257 stocks traded in the upper circuit, while 227 were in the lower circuit.
The Nifty 50 was down 0.10% at 25,252.90 while the Sensex was down 0.10% at 82474.74.
The rupee declined by 4 paise to 83.95 against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday, pressured by a stronger greenback in global markets and weak domestic manufacturing data.
Forex traders also noted that a decline in the domestic equity market contributed to the rupee’s drop.
At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 83.94, down by 3 paise from its previous close, before slipping further to 83.95. On Monday, the rupee had settled at 83.91 against the US dollar.
The NIfty 50 opened 0.04% at 25,288.70 while the Sensex opened 0.01% at 82,550.04.
Shares in the Asia-Pacific region are trading in mixed territory on Tuesday morning. The Asia Dow is up by 0.48%, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading in the green, gaining 0.67%. South Korea’s KOSPI index is also higher, up by 0.12%. However, China’s benchmark Shanghai Composite index is slightly down, trading in the red with a marginal decline of 0.01%.
