Samsung secretly launched its most affordable smartphone, the Galaxy A06, in India. Part of the renowned A-series, the Galaxy A06 comes packed with a slew of quality-of-life features, including a large screen and battery, all for a low starting price of Rs 9,999.

This new entry-level smartphone features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. This phone features a waterdrop-style notch.
The Galaxy A06 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor, up to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card.
Photography fans will appreciate the 50MP rear camera, which features an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait pictures. On the front, there is an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The Galaxy A06 also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy A06, which runs Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI, has been verified to receive two major operating system updates and four years of security patches. The connectivity choices are extensive, including dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. There’s also a 3.5mm audio connector for those who want the basics.
The enormous 5000mAh battery, which supports 25W fast charging, will ensure plenty of battery life, even if no charger is included.

The Galaxy A06 is available in Light Blue, Black, and Golden. The 4GB/64GB model costs Rs 9,999, while the 128GB variant costs Rs 11,499. You can already get one from Samsung India’s eStore, and offline distribution is coming shortly.
