Share Market News, Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices closed the trading session on a record-high note on September 20. The BSE Sensex finished the day up 1,389 points, or 1.67%, at 84,574. The NSE Nifty 50 finished 403 points, or 1.59% higher, at 25,818. The Bank Nifty closed 1.68% higher at 53,930. The Nifty Midcap 100 ended the session 919 points, or 1.55% higher, at 60,270.

M&M, JSW Steel, L&T, Coal India, and Bharti Airtel were the top gainers in the Nifty 50. Meanwhile, Grasim Industries, SBI, IndusInd Bank, TCS, and Bajaj Finance were the major losers in the Nifty 50 on Friday.
The Nifty 50 was up 1.16% at 25,711 while the Sensex was up 1.19% at 84,172.87.
The NSE Nifty 50 opened 0.46% higher at 25,531.75, while the BSE Sensex opened 0.45% higher at 83,555.16.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which tracks the dollar’s performance against a basket of six major foreign currencies, declined by 0.34%, trading at 100.66.
Major Wall Street indexes surged to record highs on Thursday, boosted by gains in global markets and a rise in Treasury yields. Investors’ risk appetite was heightened as the Federal Reserve initiated its first rate-cutting cycle in more than four years, according to a report by Reuters.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite soared by 440.68 points, or 2.51%, closing at 18,013.98. The S&P 500 climbed by 95.38 points, or 1.70%, to end at 5,713.64, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 522.09 points, or 1.26%, reaching 42,025.19.
