Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida urged women who had not got assistance under the Subhadra scheme despite applying. The plan, which will be implemented in May 2024, intends to economically empower married women by giving them with Rs 50,000 over a five-year period.
However, many women have been disappointed, with approximately 5 lakh applicants experiencing difficulties due to unlinked bank accounts and a lack of coordination between bank accounts, Aadhaar, and mobile phones. Parida stepped out to fix their problems. Her approach is simple: associate one cellphone number with one account. She encourages applicants to visit their banks and address the matter in order to receive the incentives.
To guarantee that no one is left behind, the government team will visit villages after March 24 to verify and resolve any outstanding issues. Anganwadi personnel will also play an important role in personally reviewing the applications.
With this new policy, the government hopes to provide women with relief and empowerment.
