In order to assist farmers, Odisha Govt. established a 24-hour control room and a toll-free helpline to address paddy procurement concerns. Krushna Chandra Patra, Minister of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, inaugurated the facility.
This program seeks to provide timely help and address problems raised by farmers during the purchase process.
Farmers can now report problems or get help by calling the toll-free number 1967. The control room will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure that farmers receive fast assistance and have their complaints addressed.
Speaking at the event, Patra emphasized the significance of this initiative in improving the efficiency and openness of the procurement process. He reassured farmers that the government is committed to addressing their concerns and providing the assistance required to ensure a seamless and hassle-free procurement season.
The supply department created the command control center, which allows for complete CCTV surveillance of all mandis.
