NEET PG Counselling 2024: In a recent notification, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) allowed registered NEET PG 2024 counselling candidates to quit from round one and two seats. Candidates with grievances wrote to the Committee, and the competent authority agreed to give candidates until December 26 at 6 p.m. to resign from round one and two seats.
The Committee also provided candidates with guidelines for vacating their assigned seats. Candidates must ensure that instructions are followed.
–New allotted candidates of the NEET PG 2024 counselling round-2 who joined their seat but now want to resign can vacate their seat with forfeiture of the security deposit within the stipulated time of resignation.
–Candidates who got upgraded in round 2 of the counselling and have joined the upgraded seat but now want to resign from their seat can vacate their seat with forfeiture of the security deposit within the stipulated time of resignation, December 26.
–Candidates will have to report physically at the allotted college to resign their seat, and read the notification, adding that such candidates are advised to ensure that their MCC NEET PG resignation letter is generated online through the official portal provided by MCC.
If the student is unable to deliver the online generated letter, the candidate’s resignation will be considered ‘null and void’.
Meanwhile, MCC has requested that all participating PG institutes provide seats for the NEET PG round 3 of counselling. Colleges will not be required to donate seats that become vacant after round 2 owing to non-reporting, cancellation, or resignation by candidates.
