Stock Market Highlights, Thursday, February 13, 2025: The benchmark Indian market indices gave up early gains and closed Thursday’s trading session flat. The 30-share Sensex finished at 76,138.97, down 32.11 points, or 0.04 percent, from its previous level. Today, the index fluctuated between 76,764.53 and 76,013.43 points.
The NSE Nifty50 closed down 13.85 points, or 0.06 percent, at 23,031.40. The index reached an intraday high of 23,235.50, while the day’s low was 22,992.20.
27 of the Nifty50’s 50 constituent stocks closed in the red, led by Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Hero MotoCorp, Infosys, and Larsen & Toubro, which lost up to 4.93 percent. Sun Pharma, Bajaj FinServ, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, and Cipla were the top gainers among Nifty50 constituent stocks that ended higher by up to 3.12 per cent.
On Thursday, 112 equities reached the NSE’s upper circuit, while 100 stocks fell below it.
Among the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap 100 index rose 0.25 percent, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 index fell 0.37 percent.
Sectoral indexes settled mixed, with Nifty financial services, pharmaceuticals, metals, healthcare, private banks, and real estate indices gaining up to 1.47 percent. Auto, IT, FMCG, PSU Bank, OMCs, and consumer durables were among the NSE sectoral indexes that fell by up to 1%.
