Samsung has launched two new budget-friendly smartphones, the Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G, in India. The M16 and M06 5G are said to have “segment-leading” features, such as up to six generations of OS upgrades. The Galaxy M16 5G starts at Rs 12,499, while the M06 5G costs Rs 9,999. Both devices will only be available for purchase on the e-commerce website Amazon.
Samsung Galaxy M16, M06 5G: India prices, variants
Samsung has released the Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G in capacities of 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB. The 4GB RAM variant costs Rs 12,499, the 6GB at Rs 13,999, and the 8GB at Rs 15,499. The Galaxy M16 5G will be available starting March 5th. The Galaxy M06 5G goes on sale two days later, on March 7th.
The Galaxy M06 5G is available in 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB versions at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,499, respectively.
The M16 5G comes in three colours: Blush Pink, Mint Green, and Thunder Black. The M06 5G comes in two: Sage Green and Blazing Black.

The Galaxy M16 5G sports a 6.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, whereas the Galaxy M06 5G is 6.7-inch and 720p. Both phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and have a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging capabilities.
Samsung is committing to 6 years of OS upgrades on the M16 5G while the M06 5G get 4 years of support.
The Galaxy M16 5G features a triple rear camera arrangement that includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front camera is 13 megapixels. The Galaxy M06 5G features twin rear cameras: a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The front camera is 8 megapixels.
