The number of Covid cases has increased in Odisha. There are 11 active Covid patients in Odisha. The death of the first Covid positive has also occurred, but the Health Department has kept quiet.
The state reported seven Covid instances. On June 1, four more Covid instances were identified, bringing the total to 11.
The Health department of Odisha has said that the new variant is a mild variant and there is nothing to worry about it. The Health Secretary Aswathy S informed the same on Saturday. She said, “We have control over the situation at the moment. The variant which is spreading now is a mild one, thus people need not panic even though Covid cases in Odisha are being detected.”
The man, who recently tested positive for Covid-19, also apparently had a number of comorbidities, which are anticipated to have greatly exacerbated his health and contributed to his death. However, the State Health Department has yet to confirm his death.
India presently has 3395 Covid-19 instances and up to four deaths, with one new death in Delhi.
