Stock market close highlights on Monday, August 11, 2025: Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, ended higher on Monday, led by PSU Bank, Realty and Auto stocks.
Nevertheless, the Nifty50 ended 221.75 points, or 0.91 percent, higher at 24,585.05 levels, while the BSE Sensex ended 746.29 points, or 0.93 percent, higher at 80,604.08 levels.
ICICI Bank, BEL, and Bharti Airtel were among the main laggards on the BSE, while Tata Motors, Eternal, and Trent were the top gainers.
Hero MotoCorp, BEL, and Bharti Airtel were among the biggest losers on the NSE, while Adani Enterprises, Tata Motors, and Eternal were the top gainers.
Moreover, broader indices climbed. SmallCap ended the day 0.36 percent higher, while the Nifty Midcap 100 index concluded 0.85 percent higher.
Every other sector finished in the positive zone, with the exception of Nifty Consumer Durables, which fell 0.72%. The largest gainer, Nifty PSU Bank, was up 2.20 percent, followed by Realty (1.86 percent) and Auto (1.06%).
