Stock Market close highlights, Thursday, October 30, 2025: The Indian benchmark indices, the Sensex and Nifty50, fell dramatically on negative global cues after the US Federal Reserve reduced interest rates as expected but warned that it would be the last cut of 2025. Investors also remained cautious ahead of details on the US-China trade talks.
The BSE Sensex was down 592.67 points, or 0.7%, at 84,404.46, while the NSE Nifty50 fell 176.05 points, or 0.68 percent, to 25,877.75.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap 100 index increased 0.1%, while the Nifty SmallCap 100 index declined 0.1%.
All other sectoral indices, with the exception of Nifty Energy, closed down. Nifty Financial Services fell 0.7%, followed by IT, Auto, Metal, Pharma, Bank, and Oil & Gas.
Bharti Airtel, PowerGrid, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and Bajaj Finance were the worst-performing Sensex constituents. The gainers included L&T, Bharat Electronics, Ultratech, Maruti Suzuki, and Adani Ports.
