Stock market close highlights, Thursday, November 6, 2025: On Thursday, Indian equity indices fell for the second consecutive session, led by a selloff in media, metal, and consumer durables firms.
The benchmark indices, Nifty and Sensex, remained volatile throughout the session, with a negative tilt. The Sensex closed 148.14 points, or 0.18 percent lower, at 83,311.01, while the Nifty 50 fell 87.95 points, or 0.34 percent, to 25,509.70.
On the Power Grid, the top losers were Eternal, BEL, Bajaj Finance, and ICICI Bank, while the top gainers were Asian Paints, Reliance Industries, M&M, UltraTech Cement, and TCS.
Broader indices tracked the decline in front-line equities. The Nifty Midcap 100 index closed 0.95 percent lower, while the Nifty SmallCap 100 index fell 1.4 percent.
Sectorally, the Nifty Media fell the most, 2.54%, followed by Metal (2.07%) and Consumer Durables (1.98%). Nifty IT and Auto were the only sectors to finish in the green, rising 0.18 percent and 0.06 percent, respectively.
