Sensex Today | Stock Market Close Highlights, November 20, 2025: Indian equity markets closed higher on Thursday, with benchmark indexes Sensex and Nifty50 approaching record levels last seen in September 2024, boosted by robust advances in Financials and Oil & Gas equities. Firm global cues also boosted mood.
The BSE Sensex closed at 85,632.68, up 0.52 percent or 446.21 points from its intraday high of 85,801.70. HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries were among the top index contributors today.
Similarly, the Nifty50 reached a new 52-week high of 26,246.65, before closing 0.54 percent, or 139.50 points higher at 26,192.15.
Broader markets closed mixed. The Nifty SmallCap 100 ended 0.05 percent lower, while the Nifty MidCap 100 index ended 0.02 percent higher.
Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, and Reliance Industries were the biggest gainers on the 30-share BSE Sensex. Asian Paints, Titan, and HCLTech were the biggest laggards.
On the NSE, the leading gainers were Eicher Motors, Bajaj Finance, and Bajaj Finserv. Asian Paints, Titan, and HCLTech were the biggest drags.
Sectorally, Nifty Financial Services was the top gainer, while Nifty Media and PSU Bank were among the top losers.
