Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday stated the government plans to advertise every kind of good movies, together with documentaries and short movies. Addressing a session on the on-line Worldwide Coronavirus Short Film Festival, he also stated it was nothing short of a “communication revolution” that everyone with access to a smartphone and a story to tell is a filmmaker at this time.
“People have now become citizen journalists, the place they shoot on mobile phones and even edit them and are prepared with their short films. This can be a communication revolution,” the minister stated.
From the International Film Pageant of India (IFFI) to the Mumbai Worldwide Film Festival for Documentary, Brief and Animation Films, all reward one of the best expertise within the enterprise, Javadekar stated.
“At IFFI, we will showcase 21 non-feature movies, even at Nationwide Film Awards, we have several categories for short films below 70 minutes. The Mumbai International Film Festival also awards documentaries and filmmakers. That is the government’s plan…that all sorts of films, good films, movies which move people are made…,” Javadekar stated.
He stated a film festival for short films based entirely on the deadly disease is a novel idea.
