As part of efforts to reduce noise pollution over the festive season, the Cuttack district administration has banned the use of DJs, LED lights, and firecrackers until November 26. This approach tries to make the celebration safer and more pleasant.
The management has decided that DJs, LED lights, and firecrackers are strictly prohibited. High-decibel sound systems that exceed 65 decibels are not permitted. The use of firecrackers that make excessive noise is prohibited.
According to sources, Cuttack District Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde issued orders prohibiting loud DJ music and sound systems at a variety of events, including pandals, immersion processions, and the Bali Yatra Utsav, as part of a mechanism to promote a harmonious festive environment and ensure a peaceful celebration. Puja pandals and puja administrators have been instructed to follow these limits.
Additionally, police stations in Cuttack have been instructed to enforce these norms.
“Any person who contravenes this order shall be liable to be punished in accordance with the provisions of law,” read the order.
