The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) published the academic calendar for the academic year 2023-24 today. The calendar is available on the council’s official website, aicte-india.org.
According to the academic calendar, the last day for first-year students to be admitted against vacancies is September 15. Technical courses for first-year students should begin on or before September 15. For newly admitted students, the deadline for lateral entry admission to second year courses is also September 15.
The AICTE’s deadline for granting approval or refusal to technical institutes (but not to standalone PGDM/ PGCM institutions) is June 10. The deadline for granting approval after an appeal is June 30. The deadline for granting affiliation by university/ board is July 31. Last date for cancellation of seats for technical courses with full refund of fees is September 11.

The last date for grant of approval for institutions with ODL, online programs will be determined by UGC policy. The deadline for admission to online/ODL courses will also be determined by UGC policy.
