Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, and five others were murdered when an airplane transporting them crashed in Pune area on Wednesday morning. According to officials, the incident occurred while a VSR-operated Learjet 45 (registered VT-SSK) was landing in Pune’s Baramati neighborhood.
When the accident occurred, the Learjet 45 aircraft carried five passengers, including Ajit Pawar, two additional workers (one PSO and one attendant), and two crew members (pilot in command and first officer).
Following the incident, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu said,” We will conduct an investigation in a transparent and accountable manner. Preliminary information indicates that visibility was poor at the site at the time of landing around 8:48 am.”
