The trailer for Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar, was released on Monday after a lengthy delay due to the pandemic. Prithviraj, produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, tells the story of Rajput ruler Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, as detailed in Prithviraj Raso. It also stars Manushi Chillar as his wife, Queen Sanyogita. As he approached the stage, Akshay was seen discussing the significance of the film.
Sonu Sood plays Kavi Chandravardai, Sanjay Dutt plays Kaka Kanha, Mohammad Gauri plays Manav Vij, and Ashutosh Rana plays Jaichand. The trailer for this film, directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, shows a glimpse of struggle. This conflict is taking place between Prithviraj Chauhan and Mohammad Gauri. The trailer for this film has been released on the Yash Raj Movies YouTube channel. The film will be released in theatres on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
“I’d like to point out that this is the first time in my 30-year career that I’m doing such a large historical piece.” It gives me great pleasure to have been offered this film. “My jeevan safal hogaya ke mujhe yeh mauka mila,” he explained.
In an interview with the host, Khiladi Kumar revealed that the director Chandraprakash Dwivedi gave him the book Prithviraj Raso. He went on to say that as he immersed himself in the text, he began to understand the mighty ruler. “I’m desperate for the rest of the world to know about this warrior.” I want every child in the world to see the film, not just those in India. It’s an informational film. You’d like to show your children what Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’s story was. I am extremely proud to work in the film,” Akshay said, before getting all choked up.
The Bollywood star also told the media that he would ask the government to make the film mandatory viewing in schools so that children could learn about it. “Everything you see in the film is true; it actually happened,” he said. But we’re not aware of it. It’s quite amusing to me. Dr. Saab (director) has been studying this for the past 18 years! That’s how much effort he put into the film.”
