The first picture of Baba Barfani from Amarnath has gone viral, reigniting enthusiasm among pilgrims returning to the sacred site after a period of hardship.
According to sources, registration for the Amarnath Yatra opened on April 15. The Yatra will begin on July 3 and will continue until August 9, 2025. The Yatra will include two routes: the Baltal Route and the Pahalgam Route.
It is worth noting that the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board will not accept people under the age of 13 or above the age of 70 to participate in this Yatra, even if they have gotten the required medical certificate. Pregnant women will not be permitted, even if they present a required medical certificate.
Registration for this Yatra is being done at PNB, SBI, Yes Bank, and J&K Bank, for a total of 533 approved branches. The application would be accepted using Aadhaar authentication after e-KYC and the production of the mandatory health certificate produced by medical institutions and doctors approved by the Shrine Board.
There is a daily quota for both routes; if it is exceeded, no daily registration will be done. Registration for Yatra on any given date will close 8 days in advance, according to reports.
The Shrine Board is charging Rs. 150 each registration. After verifying all of this, the Bank will issue a permit via the Shrine Board’s authenticated site. The permit will include the date of the yatra as well as the route on which it can be done.
The journey will use either the Baltal or Pahalgam routes. The devotees can arrive by Chandanwadi or Domel and participate in the Amarnath Yatra 2025.
