In a massive show of support for the ambitious Subhadra program, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida led a ‘Subhadra Swagat Padayatra’ from Unit-III Giridurga Temple to Ramadevi University Square in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
Thousands of women marched alongside the Deputy Chief Minister to promote women’s independence in the state.
The programme was attended by several prominent leaders, including Deputy CM KV Singh Deo, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, MLA Babu Singh, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulachana Dash, and other BJP leaders.
The ‘Subhadra Swagat Padayatra’ is part of a state-wide endeavor, with about 10,000 padayatras taking place throughout Odisha today. Anganwadi workers, supervisors, SHG members, and Asha workers will lead the padayatras, which will raise awareness at the grassroots level. The events will last for a week.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida emphasised the importance of the Subhadra Yojana, saying, “We have all joined together to strengthen the women of our society. The Subhadra Yojana aims to make every woman in our state self-sufficient and self-reliant.”
The ceremony represents a huge step towards empowering women in Odisha, with the BJP government working tirelessly to ensure the scheme’s success.
