On September 12, Apple launched the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone Pro Max, which run on a new A17 Pro CPU. The new models of Apple iPhone 15 Pro, available in the same sizes as the vanilla models, feature a new Action Button with haptic feedback for recording, shortcuts, and more.
The new CPU in Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro series also supports ray tracing for speedier gaming. For the first time, the Pro series supports USB 3 for quicker file transfers.
According to Apple, the A17 Pro is constructed on a 3nm process and has a 6 core CPU and a 6 core GPU that is 20% quicker. On the new chip, there are 19 billion transistors. On the processor, Apple has also used an AV1 decoder.
Apple used Titanium in the design of the Pro series, which company claims is lighter than predecessors.
Apple iPhone Pro and Pro Max optics have a 48MP main camera, a 12MP telephoto sensor, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The selfie camera is still 12MP. Apple claims that the new telephoto lens has a 5x optical zoom and an ultrawide lens with a 10x optical zoom.
Apple also launched Spatial video, which allows users to capture 3D videos on the Pro series. According to Apple, it will be released later this year.
The Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max both have a USB-C connection and promise a full day of battery life.
The Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available in Black, White, Blue, and Natural Titanium. The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $1,34,900 and comes in storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
The Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max costs $1,59,900 and comes in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacity.
