The Asian Games committee has released the draws for all Esports titles. India will kick off its campaign in EA Sports FC Online on September 24 at the China Hangzhou Esports Centre.
Lokesh Suji, Director of the Esports Federation of India and Vice President of the Asian Esports Federation (AESF), along with Sebastian Lau, General Secretary of the AESF, and Steve Kim, CEO of the AESF, had the honor of performing the Esports title drawings.
Charanjot Singh (Charanjot12_) of India secured top seed at the South Asia seeding event for the competition, while his equally brilliant compatriot Karman Singh (tikkatown) secured fifth seed. Because of their seeding advantage, both athletes will begin their campaigns from the Round of 32 stage with Charanjot squaring off against Liu Jiacheng of China and Karman facing AA Faqeehi of Bahrain in the Round of 32.
36 participants from 20 countries are actively engaged in the renowned EA Sports FC Online title. They will compete in matches following a best-of-three (BO3) style with double elimination.
Following the start of EA Sports FC Online fixtures, two of the country’s most illustrious Street Fighter V: Champion Edition athletes, Mayank Prajapati (MiKeYROG) and Ayan Biswas (AYAN01), will begin their quest for a medal in their respective titles on September 26. In the South and East Asia seeding event, Mayank received the fifth seed, while Ayan secured the sixth seed. As a result, they will kick off their campaign in the Round of 32.
Mayank will face T.F. Rajikhan of Saudi Arabia in the Round of 32, while his colleague Ayan Biswas will face K.H.C Nguyen of Vietnam. In the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition title, 35 prominent athletes from 22 countries will compete for a historic medal. All matches will be best-of-three (BO3), except for the loser bracket final and grand final, which will be best-of-seven (BO7).
The nation’s League of Legends team, led by Akshaj Shenoy (Kai) and comprised of Samarth Arvind Trivedi (CrankO), Mihir Ranjan (Lotus), Sanindhya Malik (Deadcorp), Aakash Shandilya (Infi), and Aditya Selvaraj (Krow), will kick off their campaign on September 27. As a result of dominating the recently held Central and South Asia seeding event and clinching top seed, the team has gained direct entry into the quarter-finals of the 19th Asian Games.
In its tournament debut, the team will face the winner of Group A, which includes Japan, Palestine, and Vietnam. The elimination rounds will be contested in a BO3, single-elimination style. At the famous competition, the continent’s 15 best teams will compete in League of Legends.
Darshan Bata (A35), Krish Gupta (Krish-), Abhishek Yadav (Abhi-), Ketan Goyal (Evil-Ash), and Shubham Goli (Madness) form the excellent DOTA 2 squad representing the country. They will compete in Group A against Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines. On September 29, they will play both of their group matches in the Best-of-One (BO1) single round-robin style.
On September 30, the group winner will face Nepal in the elimination stages. Afterward, the elimination stage matches will take place in a head-to-head, BO3 single elimination format. Notably, there will be 14 DOTA 2 teams participating in the title.
