Asus has introduced two new laptops — Zenbook S 13 OLED and the Vivobook 15 in India, and the company is touting that the Zenbook S 13 is the most eco-friendly Zenbook from the company, which makes use of recycled metal and plastic. Starting today, channel partners, the Asus eshop, and Amazon will be selling both laptops.
The base model of the Vivobook 15 costs Rs 49,900, while the Zenbook S 13 OLED starts at Rs 1,29,990. There are a total of four Vivobook 15 variations and four Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED variations. Along with a lifetime subscription to Microsoft Office 2021 Home and Student, both laptops come pre-installed with Windows 11.
The Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED is a thin-and-light ultrabook that’s just 1cm (10mm) thick and weighs 1 KG. It comes with a 13.3-inch display with 2.8K resolution, offering a higher contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and the display is paired to a 180° lay-flat hinge.
The Intel Core Ultra 7 155U processor, which has integrated Intel graphics and up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage, powers the laptop. Additionally, the laptop has the newest wireless communication options available, including Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E. Additionally, this notebook is certified for the Intel Evo Edition, which offers a simplified computing experience with faster app loading times, faster boot times, increased security, better webcam performance, and more.
According to Asus, the Zenbook S 13 OLED has a battery life of up to 14 hours and supports fast charging via the USB-C connector, going from 0% to 70% in 30 minutes.
The Asus Vivobook 15 weights 1.7 kg and has a larger 15.6-inch screen. The Intel Core 3 100U CPU powers the entry-level model of this laptop, while the Intel Core 5 120U processor powers the more costly model. Both versions come with 8 GB of RAM, which can be upgraded to 16 GB, and 1 TB of internal storage. In addition, it features a 42WHr battery that supports 45W rapid charging and a 720p webcam.
