According to city MP Lallu Singh on Wednesday, the Ayodhya Railway station—which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate on 30th December—has been renamed as “Ayodhya Dham Junction.”
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ayodhya Junction became Ayodhya Dham Junction. Lallu Singh stated in a post on X that the name of the recently built grand Ayodhya Railway Station had been changed to Ayodhya Dham in response to public sentiment.

On 30th December, Prime Minister Modi will officially open Maryada Purushottam Shriram International Airport and the majestic railway station. In addition, the Prime Minister would be in charge of Ayodhya’s preparations for the grand opening of Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, is also currently examining the arrangements being made for the Ayodhya Ram temple’s opening ceremony.
“The airport and the railway station which have been prepared in the first phase are going to be inaugurated on 30th December. According to estimates, after January 22, approximately 50,000-55,000 people will come to Ayodhya daily and the administration is busy preparing for the same,” Commissioner of district Ayodhya Gaurav Dayal said.
Mythological touch at Ayodhya Dham Junction
The central dome of the Ayodhya Dham Junction building, which spans 11,000 square meters, is modeled after Lord Ram’s “mukut” (crown). The sun is symbolized by the “chakra” behind the “mukut.” Moreover, the two-story building’s two “hikhars” draw inspiration from the Janaki temple. Seven “mandapas” separate the “shikhar.”
Notably, because of its layout that maximizes natural light, the Ayodhya Dham train station will use the least amount of electricity. The station contains a rainwater harvesting feature for water efficiency. In addition, there will be a history route, underground phone and power lines, a Treta Yug facade, and a tiny road leading to the Ram temple that connects the main station terminal to the highway.
