Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, is still holding strong at the box office. Over the weekend, the film surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark. Needless to say, it has wowed both the audience and the critics. The film grossed Rs 11.35 crores on Saturday alone, bringing the total to Rs 109.92 crores.
Taran Adarsh, a popular trade analyst, tweeted about the film figures, saying that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was on a winning streak after reaching double digits on the second Saturday of its release, following the second Friday, when it grossed Rs 6.52 crores.
On its first Friday, the film debuted at Rs 14.11. Because of positive word-of-mouth and favourable reviews, the film has maintained a consistent performance.
Anees Bazmee directed the film, which is a spiritual sequel to Akshay Kumar’s 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The film also stars Rajpal Yadav and Tabu in addition to Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Krishan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, Anjum Khetani, and Murad Khetani co-produced the film.
IE’s film critic, Shalini Langer, gave the film a mixed review. The plot of the film follows Ruhan, a fake psychic who is brought in to deal with Manjulika’s return to Thakur Palace but unintentionally aggravates matters.
