Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates, who is on a one-day visit to Bhubaneswar, met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas today. According to reports, he paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and held discussions on various issues ranging from Odisha’s development initiatives for farmers, Women SHGs, slum management, digital transformation and other transformative issues. 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian was also present during the meeting.
Sharing a post on his X handle (formerly Twitter) Patnaik informed that he had a wonderful discussion with Gates on Odisha’s technology-driven farmer empowerment initiatives, several welfare initiatives like Jaga Mission, Mission Shakti, School Transformation, BSKY and healthcare transformation.
In another post on his X handle, Patnaik appreciated Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for supporting innovation in extending inclusive benefits to people of Odisha.
Patnaik has thanked Gates for his praise for Odisha’s welfare initiatives and its success in different sectors through 5T transformative governance.
