Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is expected to cross the Rs 200 crore mark in the coming days, after grossing Rs 170 crore in India during its first week of release. According to Bollywood Hungama, the fantasy drama starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt earned an estimated Rs 9.25 crore on day seven. This is the best opening week for a Hindi film this year. Ayan announced on Instagram that the film grossed more than Rs 300 crore worldwide in its first week. There has been an error in the film’s box office reporting.
According to the report, the drops this week have been “on the higher side.” Brahmastra was also released in Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi, Kannada and Malayalam, in addition to Hindi.Brahmastra box office collection day 7: Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s film, all set to passes Rs 300 crore globally

Brahmastra will overtake Kartik Aaryan’s horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (Rs 221 crore) in the coming days to become the year’s second-biggest Hindi film, trailing only the contentious The Kashmir Files (nearly Rs 300 crore). However, whereas The Kashmir Files and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 were made on much smaller budgets, Brahmastra was reportedly made for Rs 410 crore. Of course, the breakeven point is higher, implying that the film will have to rely on ancillary revenue to make a profit. The film is currently on track to gross around Rs 250 crore in the domestic market. According to reports, the film is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in overseas markets by the end of its second weekend.
The film arrived in the aftermath of persistent online protests against Ranbir, and it bore the burden of instilling hope in the industry. This year has been particularly difficult for Hindi films, with only three clear box office successes.
The critical and fan reaction to Brahmastra has been mixed, with many appreciating the scope but criticizing the writing. Ayan has stated that work on the second installment, titled Brahmastra Part Two: Dev, will begin soon. He also spoke with indianexpress.com about expanding the Astraverse through spinoffs. Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia, and Shah Rukh Khan appear in supporting roles in Brahmastra.
