BYD (Build Your Dreams), a Chinese EV manufacturer backed by Warren Buffett, recently launched the much-awaited Atto 3 electric SUV in the Indian market. This electric SUV, which starts at Rs 33.99 lakh ex-showroom, is claimed to have a range of 521 km on a single charge. The BYD Atto 3 is now being delivered in India by the company.
BYD Atto 3: Bookings and delivery
In January 2023, BYD India delivered over 340 units of the Atto 3 electric SUV. The EV was shipped to the company’s dealerships across India and then delivered to customers, according to the company. It’s worth noting that the Atto 3 had over 1,500 bookings by December of last year, and that number would have increased even more now.
BYD Atto 3:Battery, range, and charging time
The India-specific The BYD Atto 3 has a 60.48 kWh battery pack and is claimed to have a range of 521 kilometers on a single charge. According to BYD, a DC fast charger can charge this electric SUV from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes. The standard AC home charger, on the other hand, will take approximately 10 hours to fully charge.
BYD Atto 3: Performance and features
The BYD Atto 3 is powered by a single electric motor that produces 201 bhp and 310 Nm of peak torque. It is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.3 seconds. This electric SUV is outfitted with a rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
