CAT 2023 Application Form: On November 26, the Indian Institutes of Management will hold three sessions of the computer-based Common Admission Test 2023 (CAT 2023). The registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) will begin on August 2 at IIM Lucknow. Candidates who intend to participate in the competitive exam can register online at iimcat.ac.in. Candidates must read the information pamphlet before filling out the online application form. CAT 2023 Eligibility

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case ofcandidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD)categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament orState legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, orpossess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
• The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would bebased on the procedure as certified by the respective University/Institution. If any University/Institutionconfirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would beestablished by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with100.
• Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

CAT 2023 Reservation Policy

1. As per the legal requirements, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, 7.5% forScheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, 27% for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy”layer (NC-OBC), up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates and 5% for Persons withBenchmark Disabilities (PwD).
2. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories need to also note the eligibility requirements carefullybefore applying. It should be noted that while it is the endeavor of IIMs that the candidates belonging toSC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS/PwD categories join the programme in proportions mandated by the law, they have tomeet the minimum eligibility criteria and a certain minimum level of performance to be considered for theadmission process.
