CBSE Class 10th, 12th Exams: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) issued a notice on Friday regarding subject marks distribution and practical information for classes 10 and 12. Students can view the notice on the CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.
Practical exams for classes 10 and 12 will begin on January 1, 2023, followed by theory exams for both classes on February 15, 2023.
With this notice, the CBSE hopes to assist schools in the smooth administration of practical exams. The list includes a subject-by-subject breakdown of marks as well as information about practical exams.
The list for each class includes the subject name, subject code, maximum marks for theory exams, maximum marks for practical exams, maximum marks for project assessment, whether an external examiner will be appointed for practical/project assessment or not, whether the board will provide a practical answer book or not, and the type of answer book that will be used in theory exams.
The board will not appoint any external examiners for class 10, but external examiners will be appointed for class 12.
There are 76 subjects in class 10 and 115 subjects in class 12. Students must take five papers, including mandatory and optional papers.
