The announcement of CBSE Class 10, 12 board examination dates has come as a ‘big relief’ for lakhs of students and teachers amid the COVID-19-induced disruptions.
According to school principals, the delay is examination schedule will give them sufficient time to prepare, reported PTI.
Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Thursday that the CBSE board exams could be carried out for classes 10 and 12 from May 4 and conclude by June 10. Practical examinations will likely be carried out from March 1 and the outcomes are expected to be introduced by July 15.
“Furthermore, they might even get an opportunity to appear at least once for physical exams in the school and will also have sufficient time to get their doubts solved earlier than the board exams in May. This will undoubtedly enhance their confidence,” she added.
Even though the board exams are scheduled later than usual, the announcement has brought clarity. “…we would be geared up…. We will be aligning our students’ preparation and staff accordingly,” Sangeeta Hajela, Principal of DPS Indirapuram stated.
“The proposed date of result announcement can also be appropriate and justified in the present circumstances, she added.
