Official sources told that the CBSE examination results would be released next week. Last year, the CBSE results for classes 10 and 12 were released on May 13. Last year, an estimated 22.39 lakh students took the class 10 exam. Around 93.6% of those who appeared (20.95 lakh students) passed the exam, with a minor rise of 0.48% from 2023.
Girls outperformed boys, with a pass percentage that was almost 2% higher.
Around 2.12 lakh students had secured more than 90% in class 10 last year, while 47,983 students scored more than 95%, an increase from a figure of 44,297 in 2023. Among schools, both Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) recorded pass percentages of 99.09%, while other government institutions secured a pass percentage of 86.72%, and independent institutions recorded 94.54%.
In class 12, a total of 16.21 lakh students appeared for the exam last year, and 87.98% of them passed. A total of 1.16 lakh students scored more than 90%, and 24,068 students secured more than 95%, CBSE data shows.
Among regions, CBSE’s Thiruvananthapuram region recorded the highest pass percentage in both class 10 (99.75%) and 12 (pass percentage of 99.91%) last year, followed by the Vijayawada and Chennai regions.
Once the results are announced, students receive their mark sheets and migration certificates via DigiLocker. Students can access their DigiLocker accounts by entering a six-digit access number supplied by the school.
Exams for classes 10 and 12 began on February 15 of this year. Class 10 examinations ended on March 18, while papers for class 12 ended on April 4.
