Chief Secretary Anu Garg conducted a high-level review meeting today at Lok Seva Bhawan to analyze the availability and supply chain of LPG (cooking gas), petrol, and diesel in Odisha, after recent national worries over fuel inventories and global oil market changes.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department, attended the conference, along with senior executives from major oil marketing corporations such as AOCL, HPCL, and BPCL.
The oil companies affirmed that there is enough LPG, gasoline, and diesel in the state. They ensured continuous supply from refineries and depots to distributors, retail stores, educational institutions, and hospitals. There are currently no problems to the distribution network.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg urged the public not to panic or stockpile petrol, pointing out that ample supplies are available throughout the state. She urged the oil companies to keep the supply chain balanced and ensure consistent availability at all consumer points.
To increase openness and reduce disinformation, the Chief Secretary directed the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department and oil marketing businesses to constantly distribute updates via media channels and raise public knowledge regarding stock holdings.
Furthermore, oil companies have been requested to submit daily reports to the state Food and Consumer Welfare Department based on information provided with the Central Government about fuel supply in Odisha.

This proactive review comes in response to recent rumors about fuel shortages in the state, which authorities have consistently dismissed as false. The administration restated its commitment to ensuring a consistent and dependable supply of basic fuels for households and institutions.
