In preparation for the impending Plus II practical and theory exams in 2026, the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has instructed that all exam centers install CCTV cameras.
With only a few months until the exams, the council is implementing efforts to ensure a smooth and transparent examination procedure. The CHSE has directed that all higher secondary schools, self-financing colleges, and examination center authorities install CCTV cameras on their premises to monitor the examination process and prevent malpractices.
According to sources, Controller of Examinations Dr Prasanta Kumar Parida has issued an order to all principals and headmasters of Higher Secondary Schools, emphasizing the significance of installing and maintaining CCTV cameras in important places. These areas include the Strong Rooms of Examination Management Hubs (EMHs), Centre Superintendent’s offices, examination halls/rooms, and laboratories in self-financing Higher Secondary Schools.
The cameras will be watched by council officials to verify that the tests are fair and transparent.
Furthermore, the council has instructed the principals of all higher secondary schools to provide a report on the operation of CCTV cameras by November 29. The report will assist the council in identifying any technological concerns and implementing the required actions to guarantee that the exams go well.
If there are any technical concerns, schools and colleges should repair or replace the cameras right away.
