Citroen has become the latest passenger vehicle manufacturer to introduce its Dark Edition line. Previously, automakers like as Tata Motors, Hyundai, Kia, Honda, and Mahindra introduced Dark/Black variants of popular models. Citroen Dark Edition: Exterior & Interior Updates
The Dark Edition models have the same design as their ordinary counterparts, with only a few cosmetic differences. The exterior of the Citroen Dark Edition line is finished in Perla Nera Black and features dark chrome accents on the Chevron badge, front grille, and side body claddings. The appearances are further complemented by gloss black treatments on front and rear bumpers, as well as door handles.
The all-black theme is carried forward inside the cabin as well highlighted by the black leatherette seats and a custom leatherette-wrapped dashboard. To add a sporty flair, Citroen has added contrast red stitching on door trims, dashboard, front centre armrest, and black seat upholstery. Other notable feature additions in the Citroen Dark Edition range include custom seat cover, dark chrome mouldings, and grille embellisher. Rest of the interior details remain unchanged.
Citroen Dark Edition: Powertrain
The Citroen Dark Edition series will keep its present mechanical arrangement. It retains the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 109 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque (205 Nm with AT). This engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Dark Edition variations are expected to cost a premium of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 over their normal counterparts.
