The Chief Minister underlined the government’s dedication to welfare programs, especially for the elderly. Medical benefits totaling ₹936 crore have been made available to individuals 70 years of age and older under the Vaya Vandana scheme.

Additionally, as part of the Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, CM Majhi declared that more than 27 lakh families in 11 districts would receive free rice. Each eligible family in the eight KBK districts, including Boudh, Gajapati, and Kandhamal, will receive 5 kg of free rice per month for three months. This initiative is part of a broader roadmap for jobs and development in the state.

In order to establish Odisha as a pharmaceutical hub, Majhi also emphasized the significance of industrialization in all districts, with a focus on the establishment of pharmaceutical enterprises. He also discussed intentions to preserve and promote Odia identity while implementing the Jana Aashraya housing scheme in Bhubaneswar and empowering youngsters through various programs.

In addition, on Independence Day, CM Majhi has underlined the need of women’s safety. According to him, protecting women’s safety is essential to their empowerment. Regardless of their social standing, individuals found guilty will face severe punishment under the government’s zero-tolerance policy against violence against women.

The Chief Minister made it clear that anyone who abuses women will be held accountable and imprisoned. He gave his word that the police have the authority to deal with these criminals. Legal action will be taken against anyone who fails to ensure the safety of women.

Majhi has instructed authorities to take tough measures against drug mafias, adding that drug trafficking is a significant factor in the increase in crime. From the villages to the state capital, he made sure that goondaraj would be rigorously dealt with, and that those responsible would be found and punished as soon as possible.

The state government is dedicated to upholding peace and order in the state, Majhi has promised.  While addressing, he also mentioned that the overall law and order situation in the state is under control, but efforts will be made to make it more effective.

Majhi also stated that drug trafficking is a major contributor to the rise in crime and has directed authorities to crack down on drug mafias. From the villages to the state capital, he made sure that goondaraj would be rigorously dealt with, and that those responsible would be found and punished as soon as possible.

The administration will not think twice about passing legislation to combat organized crime, which includes extortion and actions related to it. However, he promised that individuals responsible for such crimes would face harsh consequences and that legal action would be pursued.
