Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi gave the third installment of Subhadra aid to recipients in the Koraput district on Rakhi Purnima. Following the ceremony, the money would be sent to the accounts of over one crore recipients throughout the state.
MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati, MP Balabhadra Majhi, Minister Nityanand Gond, and Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida attended the event. Additional beneficiaries from border conflict regions in Kotia Gram Panchayat under Pottangi Block were also added by the Chief Minister at the event.
Students put rakhis on Chief Minister Majhi’s wrist at a Raksha Bandhan event earlier in the day at Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir in Aurobindo Nagar.
The Subhadra Yojana portal has reopened for new applications after the disbursement. Women over 60 as of March 30, 2025, will not be eligible for the program, but young women turning 21 will be able to apply. A significant number of beneficiaries in Odisha are anticipated to profit from the distribution of the third installment of Subhadra, which is part of a government project to empower women in the state.
