Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the preparations for India’s next One-Day International (ODI) cricket match against England on February 9th at Barabati Stadium on Friday. In addition, he released the match’s welcome song and said that the Barabati Stadium would be rebuilt soon.
“The state government is taking all possible steps to ensure the success of the ODI match,” Chief Minister Majhi told the media today.
Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Sanjay Behera welcomed the Chief Minister and informed him about the preparations for the match. Sports Minister Suryabansi Suraj, MLAs Prakash Behera and Devi Ranjan Tripathi and Chief Minister’s Advisor Prakash Mishra were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister examined the stadium grounds. The stadium has a total capacity of 44,574 spectators, with 24,692 tickets being sold to the general public at the counters. Tickets will be available at the Barabati counter for two days, on February 5 and 6.
