With enormous anticipation among voters, the first round of Lok Sabha and Assembly polling has commenced in several regions of the country, including Odisha.
Polling has begun in Odisha for the LOK Sabha constituencies of Berhampur, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Koraput, as well as 28 Assembly seats divided across 7,303 polling stations.
In the midst of the voting process, Odisha’s Chief Minister, Shri Naveen Patnaik, has sparked public interest with a social media post encouraging voters to participate in the democratic process.

In his post, CM Patnaik wrote, “Your every vote will strengthen the foundation of democracy, taking forward the flow of development. Join in celebrating the great festive occasion of democracy by casting your votes in large numbers in General Elections, 2024”.
Within 3 hours of being published, the post has fetched more than 5.5k views, 341 likes, and more than 50 comments.
The post has also registered more than 60 reposts on the social media platform.
